Olive Young Global Membership Levels Explained (2026 Guide)

Olive Young Global Membership Levels Explained

If you shop K-beauty on Olive Young Global, you’re already part of a free membership program called OY MEMBERS, whether you’ve noticed it or not. It has five color-coded levels, and the higher you climb, the more points and coupons you get. Here’s how it all works, in plain language.

Last checked: October 2026.

Olive Young Global Membership Explained: What is OY MEMBERS?

OY MEMBERS is the free rewards program for Olive Young Global, the international store that ships to shoppers in places like Japan, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, Israel, Saudi Arabia and many more. It doesn’t cost anything to join, and you start earning as soon as you create an account. Plus, you can get lots of perks if you are a new member for your first order!

One thing to note: the program only works on the Global site. Your level doesn’t carry over to Olive Young’s physical stores in Korea. Also, if you are from the US, you cannot shop at Olive Young Global anymore and will have to use the separate Olive Young US store!

The 5 Olive Young Global membership levels:

Your level depends on how much you spend in a six-month period.

Olive Young membership level perks explained

How do you move up a level?

You don’t have to do anything special! Your orders do all the work and automatically add up towards a higher Olive Young Global membership level

Back to Baby: If you had no orders in the last qualifying window, you start again at Baby Olive.

Two six-month windows: January-June and July-December. Your spending in one window sets your level for the next.

Instant upgrades: If you hit a higher spending threshold during the current period, you’re upgraded automatically, usually the next day (Korean time).

What counts: Only orders marked “In Transit” or “Delivered.” Coupon discounts, points you’ve spent, taxes and shipping fees don’t count, and cancelled or refunded orders are removed.

You can track your progress on the Membership page, and it updates daily.

How do reward points work?

Points are earned on the amount you actually paid, at the percentage for your level (0.5% to 2.5%). Once you have at least 1 point, you can use them like cash: 1 point equals US$1. Points can’t be transferred to other people, and you need to be a signed-in member to earn or use them.

Perks every member gets (at any level)

  • Up to 0.3 points for writing a product review
  • A referral program: 5% off for you, 10% off for your friend
  • US$15 off orders of US$120+ when you turn on app notifications
  • 5 points for logging in for the first time after installing the app
  • 0.5 points for filling out your Beauty Profile

5 Korean Beauty Products Currently Trending at Olive Young: What Koreans Actually Buy!

Scroll through the bestseller rankings at Olive Young and you’ll notice something: Korean shoppers aren’t chasing 12-step routines or flashy launches. They buy products that do one job well, at a fair price. And – they don’t care about many of the Korean beauty brands that Western social media stars like to present as “trending” in K-beauty! What is trending here in the West is very different from what is trending at Olive Young in Korea.

These five Korean beauty products are the kind that actually keep landing in shopping baskets in Korea right now, and each one is available on Olive Young Global!

Quick tip before you shop: you can stack an Olive Young Global promo code at checkout on all of these.

1. Wellage Real Hyaluronic Ampoule: Lightweight Hydration

Hyaluronic acid is hardly new, but Wellage has built a loyal following by keeping it simple and pure. This ampoule is all about deep, lightweight hydration, but without the sticky, tacky feeling that puts many people off hyaluronic acid serums. The ampoule sinks in quickly, sits comfortably under makeup, and layers easily with other serums. Thus, it slots into almost any routine without causing pilling or fuss.

If your skin often feels tight, dehydrated, or just plain tired by the afternoon, this is the kind of step that makes a noticeable difference in how your skin looks and feels through the day. The best thing: the Wellage ampoule is very affordable, given its 100ml size!

Best for: dehydrated skin, anyone building a minimalist routine.

How Koreans use it: after toner and before moisturizer, often both morning and night!

Why it’s trending at Olive Young: “skin flooding”, soaking your skin in deep hydration, is the foundation of the Korean approach to skincare.

2. Mediheal Madecassoside Moisture Sun Serum: Fuss-Free Sun Care

Mediheal is best known for its sheet masks, but the K-beauty brand’s entire Madecassoside line has become a quiet favorite in recent years. Still relatively unknown here in the West, but big in Korea, Mediheal is known for affordable, ingredient-based, minimalist formulas.

The Madecassoside sun serum pairs sun protection with madecassoside, a calming, cica-derived ingredient known for soothing irritated skin. The texture is the real selling point: it feels more like a moisturizing serum than a traditional sunscreen, so it doesn’t leave a heavy or greasy film. That matters in Korea, where sunscreen is treated as the most important step of the day. People wear it every single morning, rain or shine. A formula you actually enjoy applying is a formula you’ll actually use!

Best for: sensitive or easily irritated skin, daily wear, anyone who dislikes heavy sunscreen

Why it’s trending at Olive Young: lightweight sun care that doubles as skincare does very well with Korean shoppers, and Mediheal has been a trending brand for over a decade!

3. Derma Factory Niacinamide 20% Serum: High-Strength, Low-Fuss

Derma Factory is a go-to brand for people who want high-strength, ingredient-focused skincare at an accessible price. With niacinamide at 20% strength, this serum is aimed at visible pores, uneven skin tone, and excess oil.

The appeal is its honesty: one hero ingredient, clearly labeled, with no guesswork about what you’re putting on your face. Because the concentration is high, it’s smart to patch test first and ease in a few times a week rather than going all in on day one, especially if your skin is sensitive. Used thoughtfully, it’s a straightforward way to target shine and texture without building a complicated routine. And: the brand’s products are very affordable!

Best for: oily or combination skin, dull tone, visible pores

The appeal: a single, clearly labeled active ingredient at a strong concentration

Why it’s trending at Olive Young: high potency, minimalist formula for an unbeatable price point!

4. Dr. G Red Blemish Cream: Calming Care for Breakout-Prone Skin

Still virtually unknown in the West, Dr. G is a dermatologist-developed brand with a strong reputation in Korea for years now. The Red Blemish line is its answer to breakout-prone, easily reddened skin. This cream is designed to soothe and moisturize without feeling greasy, which is exactly what irritated or blemish-prone skin tends to need. Instead of stripping the skin, it focuses on calming and keeping the moisture barrier comfortable, making it an easy swap for your regular moisturizer.

If your skin flares up with redness, breakouts, or sensitivity, a gentle, no-drama cream like this is often the reason people keep coming back to the brand.

Best for: blemish-prone, redness-prone, or sensitive skin

Why it works: it hydrates and calms in a single step with its high potency cica complex!

Why it is trending at Olive Young: Dr. G is a trusted derma brand with years of trust behind it

5. Uriage Stick Lèvres Colored: French Pharmacy Superstar

Uriage is a French pharmacy brand, yet it has a real fan base in Korea. Koreans love and trust French and German skincare, especially European pharmacy brands are highly regarded.

This tinted lip stick behaves like a balm, giving a soft wash of color along with everyday comfort, so it’s perfect for anyone who wants a “my lips but better” look. It’s easy to swipe on without a mirror, wears softly rather than looking heavy, and works just as well on bare lips as it does under a lip product. It’s also a good reminder that Korean shoppers love efficacy-first products wherever they come from, and that skincare and makeup blur together in K-beauty.

Best for: dry lips, a natural everyday tint, a quick no-mirror touch-up

Why this is trending at Olive Young Korea: it blends lip care and color in one simple step!

The Takeaway: What Koreans Actually Buy

Look at the five products together and the pattern is clear: hydration, soothing ingredients, sun protection, and simple, effective formulas. That’s what’s behind the Korean beauty products that keep selling and are currently trending at Olive Young. It’s a useful lens for building your own routine, too!

Olive Young Global vs. Yesstyle: Which One Is Right for You?

If you are shopping for Korean skincare, makeup, or health foods from outside Korea, two names come up again and again: Yestyle and Olive Young Global.*

As enthusiastic K-beauty lovers for over a decade, we have tried and tested both shops and have seen them grow over the years. Both are legit, both ship internationally to most countries. But, they offer very different benefits. Which one wins depends entirely on what you are shopping for and what your priorities are. So, here is an honest, no-hype comparison, especially for international shoppers dealing with customs and potentially long shipping times.

The Quick Overview

Olive Young Global is the official international arm of Olive Young, Korea’s No. 1 health & beauty storeaccording to The Guardian, with over 1,360 physical stores back in Korea. The Global site brings a well-curated slice of that in-store catalog online. You get authenticity and the newest Korean releases faster than from other global K-shops, plus exclusive limited editions that aren’t sold at any other K-beauty retailer.

YesStyle is a long-running Asian fashion and beauty marketplace based in Hong Kong that just celebrated its 20th shop birthday. They have a much broader catalog spanning Korean, Japanese, and other Asian brands. Plus, they don’t only sell skincare, but also fashion, stationary and lifestyle products.

The Torriden Dive In Toner is available both at Yesstyle and Olive Young Global

Skincare & Makeup Selection

Olive Young Global focuses tightly on Korean brands, and it’s usually the fastest place to find a product the moment it achieves virality in South Korea. Its curated catalogue and exclusive bundle sets are a real draw if you care about getting the newest, most talked-about releases. Olive Young also has so much market power that many brands collaborate exclusive with the store, often producing OY-exclusive franchise editions, e.g. with Sanrio or K-pop bands.

Yesstyle carries a noticeably wider range: thousands of skincare and makeup products, including Korean and Japanese brands, though not as many niche brands as Olive Young Global. There is less choice in terms of shades as well, unless we’re talking the most sought after K-beauty items. Olive Young trends to be quicker with including indie brands trending in Korea, but Yesstyle tends to have a cheaper price point.

Bottom line: Olive Young wins on “what’s trending right now in Korea.” YesStyle wins on breadth and brand selection from multiple Asian countries.

Health Foods

This is where the two diverge most, we would say!

Olive Young‘s roots are as a health-and-beauty chain, so its catalog includes a great, varied wellness and health food section alongside skincare: protein snacks, supplements, and diet-support items that reflect what you’d find in-store in Korea.

YesStyle’s catalog leans much more heavily toward beauty, fashion, and accessories, with far less depth in the health food space. If Korean health foods and supplements are a priority for you, Olive Young Global is the stronger pick.

Shipping Times

Olive Young Global: Ships to 60+ countries via trusted express couriers (DHL, FedEx, LX Pantos, EMS). The K-beauty shop offers free shipping on orders over $60 and roughly 5–7 days in transit depending on how customs is handled in your country.

Sadly, Olive Young Global no longer ships to the US, and the new US-only shop does not offer the same wide range of products. Thus, it may be advisable for US shoppers to choose either Yesstyle or Stylevana instead!

YesStyle: Also ships worldwide, but delivery speed depends heavily on your shipping tier and which items are in your cart. One thing worth knowing: YesStyle sources from many different suppliers, so if one item in your order has a longer processing time, your entire order can be held until everything is ready to ship together. If speed matters and your cart has a mix of items, keep this in mind.

Customs & Duties

Olive Young Global has recently changed its customs and duties regulations for the EU. You now pay all your customs-related charges and VAT at checkout if your orders ships to an EU country. So, no more wrangling with customs upon arrival of your OY package!

For some EU countries (e.g. Germany), Olive Young Global has capped order maximums at $160 or $300, so keep that in mind if you plan a big haul!

YesStyle does something similar: for EU and UK orders, VAT for your country is calculated and included in the price you see at checkout. Plus, they absorb the “small packages” flat fee charged by EU customs!

On top of that, YesStyle offers a refund for customs-related taxes and fees on orders under $1,000. You pay the customs fee if one comes up, then submit your receipt to YesStyle for reimbursement as store credit within 30 days.

Pricing

Olive Young tends to run frequent site-wide sales and coupon codes. Its bundle/value sets can offer real savings if you are buying those items anyway. Especially during their big sales events such as brand weeks, OMG coupon days, member week and the seasonal sales, you can get exceptionally good savings. And don’t forget that most downloadable coupon codes are stackable with a promo code from our Olive Young coupon table!

YesStyle is generally positioned as the more consistently affordable option across its full catalog, especially once you stack a code with an existing sale. Remember, you can always combine the official sales codes with influencer/affiliate codes such as “KBEAUTY50” to receive an additional 5-50% off storewide! Some brand and sales exclusion might apply, however.

You can add both a promo code AND an influencer or affiliate code to your Yesstyle order!

So, Which One Should You Choose?

Honestly — it depends on what you’re shopping for:

  • Chasing the newest Korean skincare/makeup release, or want Korean health foods plus the fastest shipping? Olive Young Global’s curated, authentic catalog is the better choice.
  • Want to mix Japanese or other Asian brands and stock up on viral, globally trending products plus shop for Asian fashion? Yesstyle is the here broader bet.
  • Ordering a big haul? Watch Olive Young’s shipping caps for certain countries, and watch YesStyle’s “slowest item holds the order” quirk.

Many K-beauty shoppers end up using both, depending on what’s on the list that week. For us, both shops offer different perks that we regularly make use of!
